Style, Body Shape & Fashion Icons
Sunday, 12 April 2015
Finding your own individual style is difficult - trust me I know - but I'm hoping today's post will make it just a little bit easier for you!
First off you need to find 3-5 celebrities whose style you love; for me those people are Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Sofia Richie and blogger Sincerely, Jules - some others include Hailey Baldwin, Bella Hadid, Nicola Peltz and Hailee Steinfeld. Although their styles are not all exactly the same, they all have an effortlessly chic look to them.

Basics are items that will always be in style; things that will last a life time. These are the things you can spend a bit more money on because you know they won't just be in for one season. Some brands I recommend for nice basics are T by Alexander Wang, Zara, H&M, ASOS and Acne Studios.

Firstly, my shoes basics are:

*Bolded items are essentials
- black cross body bag
- red cross body bag
- black sunglasses
- bright coloured sunglasses
- dainty jewellery - necklaces, rings and bracelets in gold, silver, rose gold
Even in just jeans and a tee these women all achieve the effortlessly chic look; and it comes down to the way they accessorise. Adding a pop of colour to your outfit with a handbag, sunglasses or shoes can really make your outfit just that much more eye catching and stylish.

HAIR/MAKEUP
Your hair and makeup can really determine what sort of vibe your outfit gives off. My go-to everyday look is minimal makeup that accentuates my features and I usually keep my hair in it's naturally wavy state, in a low, middle parted bun or a low messy pony with layers that frame my face out.
No-makeup makeup is a massive trend this spring/summer, so embrace your face! (OMG that rhymed!)

BODY SHAPE
Choosing clothing is easy once you know what styles look good on your body type. I know there are specific body shapes labels out there, but I feel like most people aren't just one specific body shape. As I said before you should find 3-5 celebrities whose style that you adore, some with similar body shapes to you and some without. Then pick and choose specific pieces and brainstorm outfits - Polyvore is GREAT for this! Don't forget to accessorise to make an otherwise boring outfit exciting.
HEIGHT
Height is a massive factor in how clothing will look on you. What I've noticed is that most clothing pieces are tailored more for women with a bit of height. This isn't to say a 5'2" girl can't wear something Kendall Jenner wore, it's about making it look and sit right on your stature. Thankfully a lot of clothing brands have started to come out with petite & tall sections - Topshop & ASOS are big on this. Tall girls shouldn't try hide their height, and short girls shouldn't swamp their body (Mary-Kate & Ashley are guilty of this).
The #1 thing you need to remember is that style is a personal piece of artwork, if you will, that you created, so have fun with it! Everyone has had outfit mishaps, it's just about learning, growing and discovering your own personal style.

Coachella
Thursday, 9 April 2015
It's that time of year again; when every celebrity gets their boho hippie vibes on to go to one of the most famous music festivals, Coachella. So, I created four outfits that I would wear if I were to go (maybe next year!), ranging from 70's hippie to boho-chic. Don't forget to shop the looks below!
Vanessa Hudgens is THE queen of Coachella; year after year she does festival fashion to a T. Sadly, this year Vanessa won't be attending as she's starring in Gigi on Broadway, in New York.
This year at Coachella I'm excited to see all the 70's inspired outfits celebrities and other festival goers will be wearing. Flared jeans, bardot tops, fringing, lace up sandals and statement sunglasses will be all the rage.
What would you wear if you were going to Coachella?
Spring & Summer Wishlist
Sunday, 22 March 2015
I've been really trying to be more adventurous with my style lately - this includes adding some colour and accessorising more, and I really love how it's been translating into my #OOTD's. So this spring/summer I really want to venture out of my comfort zone of just cut off shorts, a tee and some sneakers and really explore new, fun and vibrant styles!
Funky sunglasses, zesty bags and lace up flats are all the rage this coming season and I can't wait to try these trends for myself. I really love the idea of wearing a basic white tee, some cons with a more elegant skirt (second row), I think it looks SO effortlessly cool, fresh and it makes it look like you actually tried, but in reality, you really didn't. Accessorising really brings your whole outfit together, whether it just be a few dainty rings or bracelets or some sick layered necklaces, accessorising makes your outfits complete.
What trends are you excited to try this spring/summer?! Don't forget to shop my wishlist below! Xx
Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots
Sunday, 1 March 2015
I fell in love with these boots probably about a year ago, after seeing them on a bunch of different bloggers and celebrities. The difference between these boots and other thigh high boots I've seen is that these have a thicker heel - instead of a thinner stiletto heel - which doesn't make them look like hooker heels! I can't wait to get me hands on the taupe pair (top photo).

When High Street does Designer
Tuesday, 13 January 2015
| Boots: Zara (shop below! |
Have you ever found the perfect shoe and then looked at the price tag and then backed away slowly? Yeh, me too. That's why I love when high street stores come out with designer inspired shoes; Zara is notorious for this. This season alone I saw copies of Acne, Céline, Saint Laurent and Chanel shoes in their stores and I couldn't be happier.
Over the past month, I've picked up 3 pairs of boots from Zara all reminiscent of designer brands. The first was a pair of black heeled ankle boots that looked exactly like the Céline Angular Chunky Ankle Boot and I'm so in love. You can view them in an outfit here. The second pair were a glittered boot that I went to 6 stores around London to find. These are Saint Laurent copies, almost exact except for the un-glittered heel. And finally, the third pair are a pointed toe ankle boot with a chunky heel, that are similar to the Acne Studios Jensen Boots.
All these boots are pretty comfy - except for the glittered boots, but this is because they're a size to small!
All these boots are on sale now!

What's in my bag?
Saturday, 11 October 2014
What's in my bag? posts are some of my favourite videos to watch on YouTube and blog posts to read. I think it's cool to see what other people carry around with them on a day to day basis, without being totally creepy about it! Here's what I lug around:
- Rebecca Minkoff M.A.B Tote Mini - this is my go-to bag; I don't think I've used another bag since I got it, almost a year ago!
- Mimco leather pouch - I used to carry around a bulky Mulberry wallet, which took up WAY to much room in my bag. My sister got me this fab pouch for my birthday and it fits everything I need.
- iPhone - this goes without saying, right?
- NARS Laguna bronzer - I use this as more of a compact mirror than a bronzer - although I do use this bronzer practically everyday.
- Tom Ford lipstick in Abandon - the perfect sheer nude colour that I use when my lips are looking a bit dull.
- EOS lipbalm - this is an essential for me. It's cute, compact and smells #fabuluxe (I use the Honeysuckle Honeydew flavour!).
- MAC lipstick in faux - this is my 'my lips but better' shade. I have it on me at ALL times.
- YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch Highlighting pen - my mascara tends to smudge at some point during the day; the brush tip is super precise at cleaning it up!
- Rimmel Brow this Way styling gel - even when I'm not wearing any makeup, I still like to keep my brows tame.
- Jo Malone cologne in 'Red Roses' - this is a super light fragrance I use when I was to smell fresh and girly.
- Mints - an essential, DUH!
- Pen - another essential.
- Sunglasses - these are my favourite accessories right now!
- Keys - enough said!
