Rebecca Minkoff AW15/16

The Rebecca Minkoff show was the one show that I REALLY wanted to go to, so when I found out I was going I was beyond excited. As I walked into the Lincoln Centre, I walked past the E! Entertainment booth whilst they were filming Fashion Police and saw Gigi Hadid!

I made my way to the show and sat second row behind a few bloggers, including Danielle Bernstein (weworewhat). The show started and the first thing I noticed was that every outfit incorporated fringe, whether it be boots, bags or coats. Knee high boots and head to toe knit were also very prominent, as well as cute matching skirt/coat ensembles with mini bags that had guitar straps as handles.
Overall I loved the show and I can’t wait to wear some of the collection next fall!

Charlotte Ronson’s presentation was filled with mixed fabric outfits that had 60’s inspired sportswear vibes to them. Suede culottes, lace skirts and sheer florals all in dark, gloomy hues were ever so present in every look that came down the runway.
I for one am not keen for the culottes trend, but this collection has made my opinion on them a slightly more positive one.

Nicholas K AW15/16

Nicholas K AW15/16 by Siena O'Callaghan

Today was the first day of fashion week and the first show I attended was Nicholas K. Whilst waiting for the show to start I saw a few famous faces, including; Pete Wentz, George Kotsipoulos (from Fashion Police) and Kelly Cutrone!

The show was all about flowy, solid colour outfits, extremely low cut necklines and snoods. My favourite outfit from the whole show is the photo furthest to the right. I love the super draped cape and how it’s layered over some mid calf pants and paired for some cream pointed pumps.
All the models sported grey streaks in their hair, which gave them all an instant rocker chic vibe, whilst still looking fashionably feminine.

Backstage with George Kotsipoulos!

The second show we attended was Creatures of Comfort. The venue was absolutely beautiful!
The show featured fab knit on knit outfits that had a few inspired elements from Stella McCartney AW14/15. Super oversized knitwear, paired with a matching skirt/pants and another knit tied around the waist to complete the look.
My favourite ensemble from the show is the middle photo. I’m all about comfort when it comes to outfits and that outfit looks so incredibly warm and comfortable.

At the show I spotted a couple of celebrities, including blogger Danielle Bernstein and Lily Rabe (from American Horror Story: Coven).
