Polyvore NYFW Day 2

Saturday, 14 February 2015

Coat: ChloĆ© | Jacket: Saint Laurent | Skirt: Alexander Wang | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff via therealreal
Sweater: Forever 21 | Boots: Zara | Sunglasses: Quay Australia

The first show of the day was Rebecca Minkoff - read about it here. This was my most anticipated show because she's one of my favourite designers; and obviously I LOVED the collection!
The second show I went to was the Charlotte Ronson presentation - read my thoughts here. Standing front row were EJ Johnson and Morgan Stewart from Rich Kids of Beverley Hills!
The day started off with all of us getting our hair blown out at DreamDry, which was thankfully just around the corner from our hotel. I definitely didn't want to stay outside for too long, it was freezing; I'm talking -11C°!
Cape: Michael Kors via therealreal
Location: Cynthia Rowley after party
Coat: Chloe | Jeans: J Brand | Scarf: Chanel | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff via therealreal
The final outing for the day was a Cynthia Rowley after party. The location was an amazing open space on Morton Street that was made to resemble a construction site. The 'door' was a clear tarp hanging from the ceiling and the coat check was on electric construction lift!

Super big thanks to one of my best friends Devi for taking the top outfit photos! Check out her blog here.

Rebecca Minkoff & Charlotte Ronson

Rebecca Minkoff AW15/16

The Rebecca Minkoff show was the one show that I REALLY wanted to go to, so when I found out I was going I was beyond excited. As I walked into the Lincoln Centre, I walked past the E! Entertainment booth whilst they were filming Fashion Police and saw Gigi Hadid!

I made my way to the show and sat second row behind a few bloggers, including Danielle Bernstein (weworewhat). The show started and the first thing I noticed was that every outfit incorporated fringe, whether it be boots, bags or coats. Knee high boots and head to toe knit were also very prominent, as well as cute matching skirt/coat ensembles with mini bags that had guitar straps as handles.
Overall I loved the show and I can’t wait to wear some of the collection next fall!

Charlotte Ronson AW15/16

Charlotte Ronson AW15/16 by Siena O'Callaghan

Charlotte Ronson’s presentation was filled with mixed fabric outfits that had 60’s inspired sportswear vibes to them. Suede culottes, lace skirts and sheer florals all in dark, gloomy hues were ever so present in every look that came down the runway.
I for one am not keen for the culottes trend, but this collection has made my opinion on them a slightly more positive one.
